| I'm back! I've actually been back for a few days but haven't had the desire to update. haha. sorry guys.
Now about China... in a nutshell, it was simply AMAZING!
Besides the stimulation of being on the flip side of the world, I was reawakened immensely by the culture and the people, which have slowly faded in my memory over time in the states. Though the development of the city, Fuzhou, is stunning, with towering residence complexes and advanced infrastructure, some people are still struggling for a living. (e.g. selling homemade tofu as the main source of income).
Anyway, city life is fascinating. There is so much you can do. I enjoyed the freshness of each new day, the activity of the people going on about their separate ways-- cars, taxis, buses, motorcycles, bicycles swarming the streets, in every corner! There is a congruency about the spirits despite the diversity of eveyone's tasks; the livelihood of the air lasting until sunset, when the families finally flock home for dinner and chat the night away with neighbors. Then on the island, everything is comfortable at all times because it's the slow-paced society. The ocean breeze accompany the relaxed atmosphere and the elders sit to reflect on their younger days.
For me, I wandered. And as I recall the past month, I cannot help but feel a slight sense of guilt for having indulged so much. With no worries on my mind and no obligations, I lost track of time in the paradise. You can say I vacationed the vacation. I consumed so much food (seafood, mostly, of all sorts.. some of which I have no idea what to call them), shopped more than neccessary, and pampered myself excessively with my mom in spas and such, since everything is about ten times cheaper there. More interestingly, I had accupuncture (!), and added four more piercings, now totaling eight! Yes, it was pretty crazy.
The rest of summer is running by fast, with so much planned. I'm trying to spend time with family and friends as much as possible as well as prepare for the big city!!! Good luck to all of you and call me to hang out. I seriously think we should have a reunion (3 months?!) or some sort of a going-away party at Rising Park. Maybe Mandi and I will organize something. Hope to see all of you before I leave!

| GONE TO CHINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
see you in August! | | |
| I wore my DNA earrings today and somehow that inspired me to update (?)... sorry, I've been lazy about these entries.
Let's see, you're probably wondering what I have been up to right? (ok, maybe not, but I'm still going to mumble jumble just so I can keep track of my own life.)
So... I can't get over this sensation of freedom from stress, well, at least for the most part (that massive painting still needs to be completed before the end of this month, but you know, there's plenty of time left. haha. A procrastinator = always a procrastinator.)
Ok, the run down. I love summer. and fall. and winter. and spring. But, I love summer maybe the most: playing tennis w/ Andrea early in the mornings and indulging in icecream afterwards (I still have certificates to Cold Stone and Gypsy Joe's if anyone wants to join me sometime... just give me a buzz, please do,) running in the rain every time in rains, going bowling, clubbing, stripping (j/j ha! I fooled you!!,) ice skating, reading, having dinner, sleeping in the movie theatre (I don't know how that happened but it was pretty pitiful,) going to the library, and Barnes and Noble, watching lots of movies, going to the sauna, and yes, occasionally, being bored (which means sleeping on my deck on a Friday night w/ Mandi, star gazing and munching on chips and twizzlers. we're not weird, we're just creative. that's all.)
Besides the random mixture of events, we made a trip to New York for my second cousin, Danny's wedding. It was beautiful! And now, I'm counting down to my next trip to the big city, which is July 1st, for another wedding. yay! From there, I will fly to China with my mother to visit family and travel for a month. yay! I will be back on August 5th so please call me to hang out before I leave for college! In the meantime, I'm thinking about transforming a room in my house to an art studio, so I can maybe start my own, part-time job. You know, maybe some art-on-request, maybe make some money to pay off this huge, upcoming debt. Yeah, I've actually gotten a couple of orders from my cousin. If you're interested, please let me know!
Now I want to know WHAT'S HAPPENING IN YOUR LIFE?!?!
Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. Hope to see some of you soon!
